At Chef Pip, children's safety is our top priority. This page explains how we protect young users and what parents should know.

1. Age-Appropriate Design

Chef Pip is designed for users aged 4 and up, perfect for the whole family:

• Simple, easy-to-understand language
• Colorful, engaging visuals
• No violent or inappropriate content
• Recipes suitable for children with adult supervision

2. Parental Supervision Required

We strongly recommend that parents or guardians:

• Supervise children while using the app
• Assist with cooking activities, especially those involving heat or sharp objects
• Review recipes for allergens before cooking
• Set up and manage their child's account

3. No Direct Communication

To protect children, Chef Pip does not allow:

• Chat or messaging between users
• Social features or friend lists
• Sharing personal information with other users
• Public profiles or user-generated content

4. Safe AI Interaction

Our AI cooking assistant (Chef Pip) is designed to be safe:

• Only responds to cooking-related questions
• Does not collect or request personal information
• Cannot be manipulated to provide inappropriate content
• All conversations are monitored for safety

5. Data Protection

We protect children's data by:

• Collecting minimal information (only what's needed for the app)
• Never selling or sharing children's data
• Not using data for targeted advertising
• Allowing parents to review and delete data at any time

6. Advertisements

For free users who see advertisements:

• All ads are reviewed for age-appropriateness
• No personalized or behavioral advertising for children
• No ads for mature content, gambling, or dating
• Premium subscription removes all advertisements

7. In-App Purchases

To prevent unauthorized purchases:

• Purchases require App Store/Play Store authentication
• Parents can enable purchase restrictions on their device
• We clearly label all purchasable items
• No "dark patterns" or deceptive purchase prompts

8. Reporting Concerns

If you have any concerns about safety:

• Use the "Report" feature in the app
• We investigate all reports within 24 hours
