Welcome to Chef Pip! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Chef Pip mobile application ("App"). By using Chef Pip, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chef Pip, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

If you are a parent or guardian allowing a child to use Chef Pip, you agree to these Terms on behalf of the child and accept responsibility for their use of the App.

2. Description of Service

Chef Pip is a cooking app designed for users aged 4 and up, perfect for the whole family. The App provides:

  • Interactive cooking recipes with step-by-step instructions
  • AI-powered recipe suggestions based on ingredients
  • Achievement badges and cooking streaks
  • Educational content about world cuisines

3. User Accounts

To use Chef Pip, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Chef Pip offers free and premium subscription options:

  • Free Plan: Unlimited recipes with advertisements, 2 photo scans per day, 4 cuisines available
  • Basic Plan (€5.99/week): 10 recipes per day, no ads, 6 cuisines available
  • Pro Plan (€19.99/month): 20 recipes per day, no ads, 8 cuisines, priority support
  • Premium Plan (€34.99/month): 50 recipes per day, unlimited photo scans, all cuisines, offline recipes, 5 family profiles

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) according to their respective policies.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to bypass security features
  • Share inappropriate content
  • Harass or harm other users
  • Reverse engineer or copy the App

6. Parental Supervision

Chef Pip is designed for children with parental supervision. We recommend:

  • Parents supervise children during cooking activities
  • Adults handle sharp utensils and hot surfaces
  • Parents review recipes for allergens before cooking

7. Content and Recipes

Recipes provided by Chef Pip are for informational purposes. We are not responsible for:

  • Allergic reactions to ingredients
  • Injuries during cooking
  • Variations in recipe outcomes

Always check ingredients for allergens and supervise children during cooking.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in Chef Pip, including recipes, images, and the Chef Pip character, is owned by us and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Chef Pip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chef Pip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
